THE MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS By Booth Tarkington The writing is straight forward without any of the “literary adornment” of so many works of the period and as such was an absolute pleasure to read so much so that I read it in one sitting. In addition, it was and remains completely contemporary. Although written a hundred years ago, with regard to content and style, it could have been written yesterday. Having never read Tarkington I was in for quite a surprise reading the book. He adored The MAGNIFICENT AMBERSONS and the story it told. It is intended by Allah to help us to recharge our spiritual batteries and thus prepare us for the great mission of realizing His will on earth. Ramadan is an event that occurs in the life of the faithful, as individuals and as an Ummah, once a year. Responding to the question, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a Senior Lecturer and Islamic Scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada states: What are the practical steps that can be taken by Muslims to prepare themselves for this blessed month?Īllah Almighty says, (The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong).)
